Built Up Roofing
A built-up roofing (BUR) system is a multi-layered roof that’s typically used on flat or low-slope roofs. BUR systems are made up of multiple layers of asphalt, ply sheets, reinforcing fabrics, and surfacing materials like gravel. These types of systems are known for their durability, waterproofing, UV radiation protection, and fire resistance. Built-up roofing is also low maintenance and effective in many climates.

SBS Modified Bitumen
SBS Modified Bitumen is a hybrid of asphalt and synthetic rubber and is often used in built-up roofing systems. Asphalt is the primary waterproofing material in SBS modified bitumen roofs, but the synthetic rubber improves the asphalt’s strength and puncture resistance. SBS modified bitumen roofs typically have a base sheet and a cap sheet. The base sheet is self-adhered to the roof, while the cap sheet can be torched down, self-adhered, or cold-adhered. These roofs often include reinforcements like glass, polyester, or composite materials, which provide stability, weather resistance, and tensile strength.

APP Roofing
A-Tactical Polypropylene Modified Bitumen Roofing is a commercial roofing material that is strong, durable, flexible, and resistant to UV and high temperatures. This style of roofing’s flexibility and elongation properties help it resist thermal and structural movement, even in cold temperatures. AAP roofing is made from a thermoplastic bitumen blend reinforced with polyester and/or fiberglass.
